Son reveladas las nominaciones al Oscar 2023
Se han dado a conocer las nominaciones a los Premios de la Academia 2023. Películas como Everything Everywhere All at Once, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Fabelmans, Top Gun: Maverick y TÁR recibieron múltiples nominaciones al Oscar, incluida la de Mejor Película.
También recibieron mucho reconocimiento Elvis de Baz Luhrman, la adaptación alemana de All Quiet on the Western Front y la sátira social Triangle of Sadness de Ruben Östlund, que se abrió paso en categorías clave.
Las nominaciones también confirmaron el inevitable enfrentamiento entre Michelle Yeoh y Cate Blanchett a la mejor actriz principal, así como el reconocimiento al Oscar para Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Mitski y David Byrne. También fue una gran mañana para la banda Son Lux, cuya partitura para Everything Everywhere fue nominada junto con el trabajo de John Williams para The Fabelmans y The Banshees of Inisherin.
La diversidad no fue tan fuerte como podría haber sido, con las directoras una vez más excluidas de la categoría de dirección. Las nominaciones de actuación incluyeron a Angela Bassett que recibió una merecida nominación por Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, aunque Yeoh, Brian Tyree Henry, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Hong Chau y Ana de Armas también fueron reconocidas por su trabajo.
